Background and Experience at AIMS

Annu Lamba began her career in the IT and banking sector, working with global companies such as Accenture in India as a Business Analyst. When the economic downturn in 2022 affected the IT industry, she saw an opportunity to pivot into healthcare, a growing field with long-term stability. Choosing AIMS Education’s Medical Billing and Coding program allowed her to diversify her skills and step into a profession where technology and healthcare intersect. She had previously worked with WNS Global Services in India, which gave her strong analytical and technical skills that she now applies in healthcare. “The training I received from AIMS was a game-changer,” she says. “The program was well-structured and thorough, giving me the knowledge and technical skills I needed to succeed.” Her internship provided valuable hands-on experience, and with the support of her instructors and the career services team, Annu gained the confidence to transition smoothly into her new field. 

Success after Graduation

With the guidance of AIMS, Annu secured a rewarding internship that not only gave her real-world exposure but also connected her with potential employers. Soon after, she earned her certification as a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) and successfully landed a position in her field. “I am thankful to AIMS for helping me take this step forward,” she shares. Looking ahead, Annu aspires to advance her career by becoming a Revenue Cycle Specialist, building on the strong foundation she established at AIMS. “Their commitment to student success made a significant impact on my professional journey,” she reflects.
